Much to my surprise everything seems to be working out very well. I'm back in Portland, living in the too cool for it's own good East End in a condo with a water view. I've scrounged desk space in my own building in the corner of a friends office and am shooting locally. Currently in the middle of two weeks of shooting for LLBean in their great Studio 1912 location. But of all the new things happening, probably the most exciting (and challenging) is the final closing of lease negotiations for the armory in South Portland, Maine with the intention of turning it into a sound stage for feature film production.

As you can see by the link there have been many ups and downs on the road to this point. The transition should take between three and five years but the building, to be known as Fore River Sound Stage, should be good to do production in less than a year. One of my favorite things in still shooting is building and shooting on sets. This is that on steroids. Wish us luck!
